So I want to practise a total 24 60 minutes race but when I switch to the ai driver after a few laps the controller shuts off. I have a recharable battery and then I tried plugging the cable in but that notwithstanding didn't work. Is there a system setting to change to prevent this from happening? Whatsoever help would exist appreciated.

Not sure I fully empathize that link. I have the plug and charge kit but when the cable is plugged in it nevertheless shuts off.

I'm talking only the controller turning off. It'southward frustrating when I switch drivers and go to piece of work and come home and find the controller is turned off only after a few laps. I have the cord plugged into the Xbox itself. If at that place isn't a setting to stop this I'm not sure how anyone can complete this race unless they race 24 hours direct.

Strange, I always have mine plugged in via the play and charge cable and have not had it shut off yet. Have yous tried removing the battery then plugging information technology in to brand it a wired controller, I know its non a proper solution but might help.

Another affair you could try is another usb port on the Xbox to determine if it is the cable.

There is a known upshot with some controllers dropping connection and switching off.I have contacted MS on this problem.
Only as withal there is no fix.

Make sure your controller firmware is up to date as there was a patch to fix this.
But it withal happens with mine and then your non alone.
